MR. LEON SCOTT, JR.- Age, 81 of Summerville, Georgia passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2021. He was born October 31, 1939 to the late Leon Frank Scott, Sr. and Willie Mae Scott Anthony. He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church and a graduate of A.C. Carter High School. He is preceded by his parents, sister, Annie Brown, and brother, Jerry Scott.
He is survived by his loving family, sons, Gabriel Scott and Kirk Jackson; daughters, Wendy Scott and Penny (George) Jackson Williams; grandchildren, Premis (Bryan) Scott Rainwater, Sasha Scott, Irish (Morrie) Coats Wells, Titus Jackson, Dantaveius Jett, and Treas Jackson; great-grandchildren, Talia, Ezmun, Zayden, Leviticus, Javen, SeNailah, Bryana, Octavious, Dantazeious, Jr., and Malachi; loved and devoted sister, Sheraldine (James) Miller; uncle, Bobby Martin; devoted god-nieces, Cydni White, Fecia Watkins, Flecia Brown, Kynsli Watkins; god-great niece, Candis (KirK) Davis; god-great great nephew, Isaac Cordle, Kingston Davis, and Sterling Davis; devoted cousin, Shamel Jackson; beloved nieces and nephews, Disica Scott Lewis, Jerika Scott, and Jared Scott, Cantrell Smith, Casey Smith; and special cousins, Peaches, Shaddy, Tara, Kippi, and Tuffy; host of other loving nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends. Following the guidelines of COVID-19, the family is enforcing that all attendees wear a mask and practice social distancing.
Funeral Service will be Monday, March 29, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at New Bethel Baptist Church, 281 Georgia Avenue, Summerville, GA 30747, with Pastor Kevin Roach as Eulogist. The family will receive friends on Monday at the church, one hour before the service. Interment at Summerville Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Willis Funeral Home, Inc.
