MRS. LINDA JOYCE FISHER MCDANIEL - Age 82, of Calhoun, GA passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2026. She was born August 1, 1943 to her late parents, Jesse Fisher and Christine Evans Fisher. Linda attended Stephens High School until she began her professional career as a Mender for Aldon’s Carpet Mill. She later retired from Mohawk Industries after many years of hard work. She was a member of New Beginning Ministries C.O.G.I.C. where she served on the Mothers’ Board. Linda, affectionately known as “Nanny” and "Grannanny” by her family, enjoyed playing bingo at the Senior Citizen Center, word searches, and completing puzzles with her beloved family.
Linda was predeced in death by her parents;15 siblings; and granddaughter, Quinn Hogan.
Those left to cherish Linda’s memories are her children, Myra Hogan, Katrina Barnes, Taunyia (Larry) Rogers, and Mark Hogan, III; bonus children, Vickey (Robert) Banks and Ricky Bryant; grandchildren, Tawanda Curtis, Dorrell Hogan, Jonathan Aker, Chanel (Larry) Montgomery, Britannica Washington, Kasiman Hogan, Marticka Hogan, Kerry Bryant, Terry Bryant, and Renada Banks; 27 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Homegoing Celebration will be Monday, July 27, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Allen Chapel AME Church, 227 S. King St, Calhoun, GA 30701, with Pastor Willie Floyd, Eulogist, with Dr. Shelia Floyd, Officiant. The family will receive extended family and friends on Monday from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM at the church. Interment; Gordon Memorial Gardens. Arrangements entrusted to Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, GA.
