MR. LLOYD KENNETH GREGG – AGE 68, - Of Leesburg, Georgia and formerly of Florence, South Carolina passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2015 in Atlanta, Georgia. He was retired from the U. S. Postal Service after forty-two years, a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Daly City, California and a Veteran of the United States Marines during the Vietnam Era. Those who preceded him in death are his parents, Horace Burns and Lillian Grainger Gregg, two sisters, Gertrude Gregg Ashley and Peggy Gregg Adams. He is lovingly survived by his devoted wife, Annie Lois Gregg of Leesburg, Georgia; daughter, Monique “Niki” Teresa Gregg; his only grandson, whom he reared and loved very much, De’Jone Zachary Gregg-Jones, both of California; sister, Billie Gregg Kelly of Florence, South Carolina; two brothers, Wesley A. Gregg of Atlanta, Georgia, Leslie (Anne) D. Gregg, Sr. of Florence; mother-in-law, Lillie Peterson of Albany, Georgia; uncle, Jim Grainger of Florence, aunt, Annie Lindau of California; special friends, Billy and Vera Jackson of California, Neil and Yvonne Hankins of Atlanta; lifetime friends, Rev. Dr. Mack T. Hines and Thomas “T Bird” Robinson of Florence; special in-laws, Bedford and Mary Carter of Albany, Georgia; one sister-in-law, two brothers-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, close relatives, and friends. Homegoing Celebration will be Friday, November 13, 2015 at 11:30 A.M. at the J. O. and Annette Smith Memorial Chapel, 307 South John Street, Florence, South Carolina with Rev. Sandra Carter as Eulogist, and Rev. Dr. Mack T. Hines, officiating. His remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Thursday and the family will receive friends thirty minutes before the service. Interment at Florence National Cemetery with Military Honors.
