MRS. MARGARET LOUISE CALHOUN JOHNSON – Age 88, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Thursday, August 14, 2014 at her residence. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, a graduate of Emory High School, and was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin David Johnson, parents, Raymond Collins and Sadie McIntyre Calhoun, Sr., two brothers, Raymond Calhoun, Jr. and Bobby Calhoun, and two sisters, Jonnie Hart and Betty Webb. She is survived by three daughters, Gwendolyn J. McCarver of Calhoun, Georgia, Pauline J. Harris, and Margaret Gayle Johnson of Dalton; son, Michael David Johnson of Augusta, Georgia; step-son, Sammy Thomas of Salisbury, Maryland; fourteen grandchildren; one great grandchild; one sister, Lora Calhoun Shaw of Dalton; brother-in-law, John Hart; special friends, Mary Buford and Gloria Hunt; a special thanks to Hamilton Hospice; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Funeral Service will be held Monday, August 18, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel with Minister Fred Johnson, Evangelist Marlene Jones, and other ministers officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday Evening at the funeral home from 6:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Interment, Famber/Calhoun Family Cemetery.
