Marian Alexander received her wings and went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 3, 2011. She completed her life on earth and left a legacy of love, compassion, benevolence, joy, and peace. Marian was born on February 25, 1934 in Dalton, Georgia. She was the sixth of ten children born to the late Aldophus Rooker, Sr. and Olean Morris Rooker. Marian affectionately known as ?Ç£Wo-Wo?ÇØ was born into a family of strong faith and at a very young age joined Mount Ridge Baptist Church where she was a faithful member. After graduating from Emory Street School, Marian pursed and obtained a degree in Nursing from Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, GA. She joined the United States Air Force in 1956 where she rose to the rank of Captain. It was during her time in the military where she met and married her husband William Alexander in 1962. To this marriage were born three children, Michael, Mark and Jan. After she was honorably discharged in 1964, she went on to nurture her three children and grandchildren as well as gave of herself to her church?ÇÖs medical ministry, and to the community through the Meals on Wheels program. Marian Alexander made her transition to Heaven while sleeping on November 3, 2011. Marian leaves behind her husband William and three children Michael, Mark and Jan; daughter in laws, Jessica, Lisa and Terri; grandchildren, Chaise, Julian, Cydni, Jordan, Myles, and Blake; sisters, Georgia Mae Holmes and Brenda Hannon; brother in laws , sister in laws and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and loving friends.
