Obituary For Mary Claudell McDaniel

MINISTER MARY CLAUDELL MCDANIEL - Age 85, of Calhoun, Georgia passed away Sunday, November 24, 2024. She was born May 6, 1939 to her late parents; father, Lindsey McDaniel, Sr. and mother, Arletha Scott “Lucy” McDaniel Hill. She was a licensed Minister at Friendship Baptist Church for several years and she also retired from Friendship Baptist Church Daycare as a Cook. She was an avid supporter of local church singings and community events. She enjoyed shopping, cooking, taking joyrides, and spending time with her beloved family. She was preceded in death by her children, Don Gregory Harris and Wanda Sheree Leary, brother, Lindsey McDaniel, Jr., and sister, Willie Belle McDaniel.

She is survived by her loving children; Pastor John W. (Evangelist Deborah) Harris, Angela E. Harris, Jeanine (Brice) Reed, Mechelle (Terry) Johnson, Pamela (Michael) Jones, and Tammy (Keith) Moore; 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; siblings, Verdell Mims and Ezekiel (Corie) McDaniel; aunt, Hanora Gregory; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Homegoing Celebration will be Saturday, November 30, 2024 at 1:00 P. M. at Friendship Baptist Church, 452 W Line St, Calhoun, GA 30701, with Pastor John W. Harris, Eulogist and Pastor James Washington, Jr., Officiant. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church. Her remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Friday, November 29, 2024 after 11:00 A. M. Arrangements entrusted to Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, GA.
