Obituary For Michael Young

MR. MICHAEL YOUNG - Age 70, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Monday, November 25, 2024. He was born April 25, 1954 to his late parents, father, Oscar Young and mother, Jimmie Marie Robbs Young. He began his primary education in Walker County and later moved to Dalton, Georgia where he continued his education. Afterwards, he served in the United States Army and was employed as a Plumber with a Honorable Discharge. He also worked for Dalton Public Schools as a Maintenance Operator. He was a member of Prospect Baptist Church. He enjoyed model cars, drawing, and spending time with his beloved family. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mikkole LeTrel Young and brother, William Dee Young.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Kayla Mikkole (Deon Morris) Young and Tamika Tanner; grandchildren, Zynaih Young, Demarius Morris, and Landon Tanner; siblings, Dora Ann Austin, Vance (Shelia) Young, and Beverly Cobb; sister-in-law, May Young; special daughter, Tatum Williams; aunts, Martha Ray Harris of LaFayette, GA and Robbie Nell Anderson of Long Island, NY; special friend, Tracy Steele; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Homegoing Celebration will be Sunday, December 1, 2024 at 2:00 P. M. at Willis Funeral Home with Bishop Dr. Nicky Paul Starling, Eulogist and Pastor David Thomas, Officiant. The family will receive extended family and friends on Saturday, November 30, 2024 from 6:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be Monday, December 2, 2024 at 1:00 P. M. at Chattanooga National Cemetery, 1200 Bailey Avenue, Chattanooga, TN 37404. Arrangements entrusted to Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia.
