Obituary For Minnie Pearl Moten

MRS. MINNIE PEARL MOTEN – Age 78, Of Chickamauga, Georgia passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2016. She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her first husband, John T. Winston, Sr., second husband, Thamon L. Moten, son, Eric D. Winston, son-in-law, Chris T. Sims, father, Charlie Sam Porter, mother Ada Frances Porter, brother, Offord Porter, and sisters, Mary Rutledge, Earnestine Bonds, Frances Richardson, and Joanne Stamper. She is survived by her daughters, Frankie M. Sims of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Teresa (Walter) McLin of Chickamauga, Georgia; son, John T. Winston, Jr. of Rome, Georgia; stepsons, Reginald (Sara) Moten of LaFayette, Georgia, Gregory (Lana Marie) Moten, Vernon Moten, and Darryl Moten of Chickamauga; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Watkins, Elizabeth Tramble, Sandra Smith, Beatrice Porter of Chattanooga; sisters-in-law, Sara Ann Porter, Nola Clements of Chickamauga, and Margaret Foster of Chattanooga; brothers-in-law, Paul Moten and Oliver (JoAnn) Moten; aunt, Fannie Fields of Chattanooga; special friends, Lillie Sneed, Ella B. Cleveland, Renae Bryant; special caregiver, Bertha Fleetwood; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at Shady Grove Baptist Church, 879 North Highway 341, Chickamauga, Georgia, with Rev. Archie Jackson as Eulogist, Rev. William Caldwell, III, and other ministers officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday Evening at the church from 7:00 until 8:00 P.M.
