MRS. AZILEE ELIZABETH DOSS RIVERS ?Çô AGE 85, - Of Dalton, Georgia passed away Sunday, June 24, 2012 at her residence. She was born on November 6, 1926 in Collinsville, Alabama to the late Mr. Andy and Mrs. Clara Griffin Doss. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. James Rivers, one daughter, Mrs. Clara Gail Lampley, two brothers, Mr. Clifford Spade, Mr. Walter Spade, one granddaughter, Leslie Parker. Mrs. Rivers was retired from the Whitfield County Health Department.Survivors are her four daughters, Ms. Sandra Burley, Ms. Sherry R. Longmire of Atlanta, Georgia, Ms. Dianne Rivers, and Minister Liz Winfrey of Dalton, Georgia; seven granddaughters, Lane Pender, Dee-Dee Rivers, Janee Winfrey, Angel Simpson, Beth Winfrey, Sherry (Rafael) Swinney, Maria Burley; grandsons, James Lampley, Hosea Lampley, Brandon (Keysha) Simpson, and Mariante McBrewer; sixteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild; one brother, Mr. Henry Doss of Los Angeles, California; three sisters-in-law, Mrs. Mary Betton, Rev. Frances Ramsey, and Mrs. Eva Lou Rivers; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Service for Mrs. Azilee Rivers will be Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 1:00 P. M. at Shiloh Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Johnson, Eulogist and Pastor Dr. Charles McAfee officiating. Her remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Friday after 11:00 a. m.
