MR. NATHANIEL BEARD – Age 73, of Dalton, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Hamilton Medical Center. He was born on March 25, 1944 in East Chicago, Illinois to the late Albert and Marion Beard Luckett. He was a member of the Baptist Faith and was a United States Army Veteran during the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Jimmy, Alvin, and sisters, Redie Peterson, Alberta Veal, Marilyn Jean White, Adel Beard, and Aletha Beard. He is survived by his wife of thirteen years, JoAnn Vasquez Beard; children, daughters, Natalie Norman, Jolynn Hoskins, Tyna (Vernon) Day, Melissa Jackson; sons, Bryan and Bryant; stepdaughters, Tawana Davis, Valencia Davis, Andrea Davis; stepson, Lorenzo Davis; stepfather William Luckett; stepmother Geraldine Beard; grandchildren, Jaida Day, Rylee Day, Joshua Rainer, Nathaniel Rainer, Tyreisha Hoskins, Diamond Hoskins, Marques Hoskins, Khalani Hoskins, Jolaun Hoskins, Phaithe Norman, Khari Jones, Jr., Khapri Alston, Natalia Alston, and Natalie Alston; great grandchildren, Khapri Jr., TyShawn, Chy-Nicole, Blessing, and Royal; sisters, Norma Jean Hanchar, Gwendolyn Cunningham, Lanetta L. Roy, Willetta Luckett, Gerry Beard; brothers, Thomas Beard, William Beard, and Robert Beard; host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at 11:30 A.M. in the Chapel with Elder Wilbert McClure officiating.
