MS. RATANZA MARQUIS WINTERS-GARDNER - Age 34, of Adairsville, GA passed away Sunday, August 9, 2026. She was born March 7, 1992. She was preceded in death by her Mother, April Nacoale Winters; Grandmother, Inez Winters; Paternal Grandmother, Ida Mae Dixon; Grandfather, James Dixon; Paternal Grandfather, Walter Gardner and Nephew, Dearious Jakelous Gardner.
Ratanza graduated from Calhoun High School in the Class of 2010. She enjoyed spending time with family, listening to music and was employed by Shaw Industries for five years.
Those left to cherish her memory are her Father, Steven Gardner; Birth Father, Roger Dixon; Sister, Masheena Brown, Alexis (Robert McAfee) Gardner and RojaโNae Dixon; Grandfather, Bobby Winters; Paternal Grandmother, Debra Gardner; Aunts and Uncles, Glendalen (Pearce) Starr, Barry Wayne Dixon, Vanessa Kelley, Ronnie (Lakicia) Dixon, Nancy Dixon, Tammy (Kim) Richards, Doyle (Elizabeth) Bryant, Vickey (Robert) Banks, Ricky (Diann) Bryant, Mitch (Erica) Winters, Jeffery (Paulette) Winters, James DeWayne Winters, Regina (Billy) Davenport, Dwight (LaShella) Winters, Tonia (Robert, Jr.) McAfee, Michael (Tammy) Wilson and Nephew, PrinceโRahzi McAfee.
Homegoing Celebration will be Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at Sonoraville Baptist Church, 262 Old Fairmount Rd., SE. Calhoun, GA 30701 with Pastor Zachary Washington and other Ministers officiating. The family will only receive friends at the church from 11:00 A. M. until the funeral hour. No viewing at funeral home. Interment; Tabernacle Baptist Church Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia.

She was truly such a sweet soul, and it breaks my heart knowing her life was taken far too soon. I had the blessing of working with her, and I'll always remember how she and her friend could make work so much more fun. Just enjoying the little moments. She was always so kind, sweet, and genuinely a beautiful person to be around.
My heart goes out to her family, friends, and everyone who loved her.

My condolences, prayers, love, and strength are with her family. We went to school together, and she ended up being my neighbor. She was one of the kindest souls I've met. So full of love. Always around family, and always willing to help another person in need. I will miss her dearly, as will our classmates and our neighbors. Gone way, way, way too soon sweet girl.
