MR. REGINAL LAMAR MOTEN- Age 66, of LaFayette, GA passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. He was born February 9, 1959 to the late Thamon Lamar Moten and Mary Lee Smith Moten. He was preceded by his first wife, Shirley Marie Moten, twin sister and brother Phillip Joe and Phyllis Marie, and stepbrother, Michael Barnwell. He was a 1977 graduate of Rossville High School and he retired from North Georgia Electric Membership Corporation after twenty – nine years of service.
Cherished memories will remain with his wife, Sarah T. Moten; two sons, Reginal D. (Kandi) Moten and Julius (Dedra) Moten; stepchildren, daughter, Shamekia (Reginal) Barnwell – Young, two sons, Damarcus (Shakyia) Tomlin, Jamario Barnwell; three brothers, Vernon Moten, Gregory (Lana Marie) Moten, and Darryl Moten; ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren; one uncle, Oliver C. Moten; two aunts, Patricia Dickens, and Edith Foster; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended relatives, and friends.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 11:30 A. M. at Friendship Baptist Church, 20 Parrish Circle, Chickamauga, Georgia with Rev. Harry Reeves as Eulogist and Rev. William Tramble as Presider. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service. Interment, Lakewood Memory Garden. Arrangements entrusted to Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia.
