(RETIRED) MASTER SGT. JAMES MICHAEL LESTER - Age 65, of Menlo, GA passed away Monday, January 31, 2022. He was born on March 17, 1956 in Summerville, GA. to the late Elder Robert “Bobby” G. Lester and Mary Ann Stamper, grandmother, Emma B. Stamper. He was a member of Prospect Baptist Church and a Retired Veteran of The United States Air Force.
Survivors are his wife, Rhonda Ahearn Lester; son, Jamiel (Elisha) Lester; daughter, Keisha (David) Forbes, Kameron Ahearn, Rayden Ahearn; twelve grandchildren, four great grandchildren; siblings, Larry (Valerie) Stamper, Patricia Stamper Jones, Sandra (Vernon) Thurman, Gail (Aaron) Adams, Bobbie (John) Lester of Summerville, GA.; Keith (Jerri) Dillard, and Candy Dillard of Naples, FL., and Robert Lester, Jr.; mother-in-law, Joyce Ahearn, aunts, Frances Evans, Helen Powell; uncles, James Stamper and Jeff (Red) Stamper of Summerville, GA.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Service for James Michael Lester will be held Monday, February 7, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Prospect Baptist Church, 194 Prospect Church Road, LaFayette, Georgia 30728 with Pastor J. Scott Copeland. Interment, Chattanooga National Cemetery at 1:00 P. M. on Tuesday, February 8, 2022. Arrangements by Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia.
