REV. DENNIS GERALD MOORE- Age 66- of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2020. He was born August 08, 1953 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to Oralee Swafford Moore and the late Erie Moore, Jr. He was preceded by his brother, Larry Moore, grandmother, Judith Swafford, and grandfather, Erie Moore, Sr. He was retired from Shaw Industries for over thirty-eight years of service, and was a long time member of Shiloh Baptist Church of the Burning Bush Community.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Flora Marie Adams Moore of Ft. Oglethorpe, Georgia; son, Pastor Craig Erie Moore of Baconton, Georgia; daughter, Minister Kristi Love Moore of Antioch, TN; mother, Oralee Swafford Moore of Bakewell, TN; sisters, Julia Byrd of Chattanooga, TN, Sandra Moore of Bakewell, TN; brother, Jackie (Cheryl) Moore of Inkster, Michigan; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Homegoing Celebration will be on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at 3:00 P. M. at Mt. Peria Baptist Church, 341 Sparks Street, Ringgold, Georgia 30736 with words of comfort by Minister Kristi Love Moore and Pastor Craig Erie Moore. The family will receive friends at Mt. Peria Baptist Church at 2:00 P. M. Arrangements by Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia.

I had the pleasure of meeting Rev. Moore in Putney when he visited his son. He was such a delight to meet and listen to his words of wisdom.
