MR. ROBERT “BOBBY” “BO JACK” “BOBBY B” GRIFFIN - Age, 82 of Dalton, GA passed away Monday, January 25, 2021. He was born November 14, 1938 to the late William Benjamin and Pauline Davis Griffin. He was a Veteran of the United States Army where he served as an Airborne Ranger. He was a lifelong member of Liberty Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, son and daughter-in-law, Robert Kevin and Drusilla Griffin, and brother, Hugh Gene “Tommy” Griffin.
He is survived by his loving family, son, Tracy Lamar (Lernice) Dillard; grandchildren, Alicia V. Griffin, Perone Dillard, Tyne Dillard, Jamarr, Lonnie, Tristian, Lamar, and a host of great grandchildren; sisters, Willa Faye Williams, Caroline Virginia Broome, and Gladiola Griffin; brothers, Benjamin Griffin and Davis Griffin; sister-in-law, Charlotte Cooper Griffin; special friends, Emery Street High School Class of ’58, Curtis Rivers Jr., David Betton, Hugh Shropshire, Lillian Miller, and Barbara Crawford; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Following the guidelines of COVID-19, the family is enforcing that all attendees wear a mask and practice social distancing.
Funeral Service will be Monday, February 1, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at the Chapel of Willis Funeral Home with Reverend W.Q. Watkins as Eulogist and Pastor David Thomas officiating. He will lie in state at the funeral home on Sunday, January 31, 2021 after 12:00 P.M. and the family will receive friends from 6-7:30 P.M. Interment will be at West Hill Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Willis Funeral Home, Inc.
