Obituary For Robert Jack Golden
MR. ROBERT JACK GOLDEN - Age 73, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Thursday, June 6, 2024 surrounded by family. He was born May 27, 1951, in Calhoun, Georgia to his late parents, father Bobby Abbott, Sr. and mother, Susie Mae Golden. He proudly served in the United States Army and Army National Guard. Later, he was employed by Pye Honda and retired from Brooker Ford as a Car Detailer. He was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church where he served on the Layman Board. He enjoyed supporting the University of Georgia football team and the Atlanta Falcons.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Malinda Beck Golden, father, Bobby Abbott, Sr., mother, Susie Mae Golden, brothers, Joseph Golden, Lamar Bennett, Ricky Bennett, sisters, Nina Bennett and Juanita Bennett, brothers-in-law, Richard Beck and Alvin Beck, sisters-in-law, Rachel Ramsey and Katie Beck.
He is survived by his loving children, Allen Schommer, Robert (Melisa) Chaney, KaLitha (Keith) Johnson, Tennille (Marcus) Jones, Michael (Lena) Beck; grandchildren, Tyler Cooper, O’Shea Johnson, Mia Golden, Hyson Golden, Sexton Golden, Daniel Carter, Austen Hawkins, Mataya Beck, Michael Beck, Zevan Beck, Kason Carter, Alex Beck, Gabriel Finley, Charlotte Chaney; brother, Bobby Abbott, Jr.; sister, Denise Printup; brother-in-law, Willie (Stephanie) Beck; sister-in-law, Rebecca Beck; uncle, Allen McDaniel; speacial friends, Lane and Reba Jackson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 2014 Martin Luther King, Jr., Blvd Dalton, GA 30721 at 2:00 P. M. with Pastor Edward Hoggs, Eulogist, and Rev. Dr. Jerry D. Jones, Presider. The family will receive extended family and friends on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at Willis Funeral from 6:00 P. M. – 7:00 P. M. Interment; West Hill Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia.
