MR. RODNEY LAMAR JONES β AGE 55, - of Roaring River, North Carolina and formerly of Kensington, Georgia passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2022. He was born on January 17, 1967. He worked part time at Sheetz in Elkin North Carolina and was an Assistant Football and Track Coach at Wilkes Central High School.
Rodney is survived by his loving wife, Delaina Adams Jones; three daughters, Rokilia Simpson of Chattanooga, TN, Ashley Jones of Inman, SC, and Jazmyne Jones of Cleveland, Ohio; two sons, Dezmond Smith of California, Kamen Smith of Roaring River, NC; his parents, Reynold and Rosemary Turner Jones of Kensington, GA; four grandchildren, Amiya Smith, Tayla Simpson, Warren Wells, and Jhiβsn Wade; two sisters, Pamela (Frank) Marsh of Kensington, GA and LaToya (Kevin) Porter of LaFayette, GA; five nephews, Santajaun Jones, Devarus (Kendall) Porter, Jarrod Beamon, Tyson Adams, and brayden Adams; one special niece, Dakiya Porter; Brother-n-Law Jerome (Jan) Adams a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
(Local arrangements) will be held at the Chapel of Willis Funeral Home, Inc. in Dalton, Georgia on Friday, June 17, 2022. Visitation will start at 5:00 p.m. and the service will begin at 6:00 p.m. (Final funeral arrangements) by Reins β Sturdivant Funeral Home will be on Sunday, June 19, 2022 at Poplar Spring Baptist Church, 209 Poplar Springs Road, Roaring River, North Carolina, 28669. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A. M. until 12:45 P. M. at the church. Interment, at the Church Cemetery.
