MRS. ROSE JOHNSON SEGARS - Age 70, of Rossville, GA passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2026. Rose was born August 21, 1955 in West Bend, Wisconsin to her late parents, Truman Johnson and Irene Kougl Johnson. Rose attended S.R. Butler High School, Huntsville, AL and graduated from West Side High School, Rocky Face, GA Class of 1973. Rose later attended Saint-Petersburg College, St. Peterburg, FL and obtained her Associates Degree in Management & Administration. Rose was employed as an Accountant by Freedom Scientific and retired from Gerdau Steel. Rose was synonymous for her crafts and volunteering in the Tampa Bay, FL area, led drives for needy children in Eastern Kentucky, loved all animals especially dogs, and was a member of Gulf Coast Community Church in St. Petersburg, FL.
Those left to cherish Rose’s memories are her husband of 15 years, Stanley Segars of Rossville, GA; children, Joshua Boswell (Christy) Boswell of Honolulu, HI and Heather Scott of Austin, TX; step son, Kurtis (Emily) Segars of Kennesaw, GA, Andrew Segars of Athens, TN, Tony Segars of Temple, GA, Cory Segars of Tunnel Hill, GA; grandchildren, Gabriella Boswell, Jasper Boswell, Gene Segars, Henry Segars, and Coen Segars; brother, Josef (Nickie) Johnson of Flovilla, GA; sisters, Pat (Kim) Keffer of Varnell, GA and Debby (Rick) Edmonsond of Rocky Face, GA, and host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The family would like to send a special thank you to her niece, Pam Keffer of Trion, GA and special friend, Debi Hughes and Joe Williams of Hixson, TN.
There will be no viewing or no service per Rose’s request. Arrangements entrusted to Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, GA.
