MRS. RUBY ELIZABETH BAILEY THOMPSON – Age 75, of Chattanooga, Tennessee passed away Sunday, May 8, 2022. She was born November 7, 1946. She was a very active and loyal member of Second Missionary Baptist Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She retired from Hutchinson Medical Center in Ft. Oglethorpe, Georgia as a Dietary Supervisor. She is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Thompson, father, Robert Bailey, Sr., mother, Louise Avery Bailey, sisters, Della Mae Rutledge, Pearl Clemons Lewis, Georgette Hawkins, and brother, Kenny Bailey.
She is survived by her loving sons, Nelson Hinton and Edward (Paula) Hinton; stepchildren, Doris Ann Jackson, Yvonne Jones, LouBertha Gibbs, and Lisa Rena Rowe; brothers, Hansel Bailey, Robert (Hattie) Bailey, Jr., and Casper Bailey; sister-in-law, Etta Herkley; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, May 14, 2022, 11:00 A. M. at New Hope Baptist Church, 3777 Wilcox Blvd, Chattanooga, Tennessee 37411, with Pastor Ernest L. Reid, Jr., Eulogist. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 A. M. until the funeral hour at the church. Interment, Highland Cemetery, Chattanooga, Tennessee. Arrangements by Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia.
