MR. RUSSELL CORNELIUS BRYANT - Age 57, of Chatsworth, Georgia, and formerly of Chicago, Illinois, passed away Friday, December 10, 2021 surrounded by family and friends. He was born October 12, 1964 in Chicago Heights, Illinois. He was baptized at California Gardens Baptist Church in Blue Island, Illinois in 1977 and later joined Community Fellowship Church of Ministries in 2014 in Dalton, Georgia. He graduated from Dwight D. Eisenhower High School in 1983. He was a self-employed Truck Driver for many years. He enjoyed cars and taking care of his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alwinia Bryant-Odom and Marshall Bryant, Sr.
Russell is survived by his wife of seven years, Jeri Yolanda Austin Bryant; children, Nakisha (Hakim) Cardwell, Natisha (Lyndell) Fola, Rushonda Bryant, and Yasmine Smith; he was also a special father figure to Ditoine Patton; grandchildren, Michael Robinson, Jr., Havannah Cardwell, Haniyah Cardwell, Nehemiah Cardwell, Heaven Cardwell, Kali Richardson, Lynden Fola, Peyton Dwight, Josiah Dwight, and Brezaida Dixon; siblings, Marshall (Shannon) Bryant, Jr., Raymond Bryant, Wayne (Sandra) Bryant, Victoria Bryant, Mark (Amanda) Bryant, Michele (Alaina) Bryant, and Gene (Latonia) Bryant; mother-in-law, Dora Austin; brother-in-law, Kerry Austin; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 17, 2021 at Willis Funeral Home beginning at 11:00 A.M. with Words of Comfort following by Pastor David Thomas at 7:00 P.M. Funeral Service will be Monday, December 20, 2021 at Cornerstone Christian Church, 3440 178th St, Lansing, Illinois 60438 with Pastor Michael Eberly, Presider and Pastor David Thomas, Eulogist.
