MRS. SANDRA LYNN SMITH STEWART – Age 68, of Chattanooga, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2023. She was born on February 20, 1955 to the late John Henderson and Vera Grimes Smith. She was employed with R. H. A. Health Care Services, was a member of the Baptist Faith, and was a 1973 graduate of Brainerd High School. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Alvin Stewart.
Survivors are her loving and devoted son, Ira Verdale (Lashonda Appling) Smith; two stepchildren, Terrance Stewart, Cornelius Stewart; two grandchildren, Phillip Smith and Shondrick Appling Smith, Sr.; two great grandchildren, Shondrick Smith, Jr. and Camden Smith; one sister, Joyce Diane Smith; three brothers, LaFredrick (Vivian) Smith, James Arthur Smith, and Dwight (Belinda) Smith; aunts, Geraline Scott, Virginia Taylor, Maosa (Will Tom) Moore, Bessie Williams, Edith Rice; two uncles, James Larry (Bennie) Grimes, James Williams; nieces, nephews, cousins, a host of other relatives, and friends.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023 at 1:00 P. M. at New Covenant Fellowship Church, 1326 North Moore Road, Chattanooga, Tennessee with Minister Alan Jones as Eulogist. The family will receive friends on Friday from 11:00 A. M. until the funeral hour at the church. Interment, Lakewood Memory Gardens East Cemetery. Arrangements by Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia.
