SGT. FIRST CLASS (RET.) LESLIE D. GREGG, JR. – AGE 53, - Of Phenix City, Alabama and formerly of Florence, South Carolina passed away Thursday, May 26, 2022. He was born on April 19, 1969. He was preceded by his father, Leslie D. Gregg, Sr. and father-in-law, Eldren E. McGill.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of twenty-one years, Sonya D. Gregg; three daughters, Crystal L. Gregg, Dyketia A. Gregg, Regina M. Gregg; one son, Kiafaja C. Weatherspoon; mother, Anne E. Gregg; brother, Chris Gregg; two sisters, Lachelle Byrd (Milton) Frederick, Barbara Gregg; eight grandchildren; mother-in-law, Gussie M. Williams; two aunts, Billie Gregg Kelly, Lois Gregg; one uncle, Wesley A. (Sharon) Gregg; three brothers-in-law, Shannon (Seanquita) Stevenson, Eldren (Nakisha) Jenkins, Earl (Sharmeka) McGill; three sisters-in-law, Lawanda (Raymond) James, Angela McGill, Latonya (Marctavious) Reynolds; godchildren, Kendra McGill-Stone, Darrilyn Danser, Dominique Brockington, Mason Robinson; three special cousins that were raised as his brothers and sister, Joey, Timothy, and Ashley Nichole Taylor; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 11:00 A. M. at Sconiers Funeral Home, 836 Fifth Avenue, Columbus, GA 31901, (706) 322-0011 with Pastor Eugene Brown as Eulogist.
Graveside Service and Interment with Honors and Full Military Rites will be held on Friday, June 10, 2022 at 11:00 A. M. at the Florence National Cemetery on Old National Cemetery Road, Florence, South Carolina with Rev. Sandra Carter as Eulogist and Pastor Merritt B. Graves, officiating.
