MOTHER SHIRLEY ANN ALMON HAMBRICK - Age 82, of LaFayette, GA passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2025. She was born on December 31, 1942 to the late Marvin and Alma Cleola Almon. She was preceded by her husband, Deacon Henry Hambrick, Jr., son, Pastor Terence βTerryβ Hambrick, brothers, Frank Almon, Jackie Almon, sisters, Bethel Carson and Laura McSears. She was a devoted Mother of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
Cherished loving memories will remain with her sons, Andrew (Brenda) Hambrick of LaFayette, Georgia, Minister Pierre (Courtney) Hambrick of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; daughter, Jennell (Pastor Albert, Jr.) Hill of Ringgold, Georgia; daughter-in-law, Angela Hambrick of Summerville, Georgia; grandchildren, Christian Hambrick, Khaliah Hambick, A. J. Hill, Malachi Hill, Chole Hambrick, Caylin Hambrick, Candace (Andre) Willis, DeeAnna Hill, Lee (Brittany) Almon, Hailey Bradley, Louis Johnson, Christian Johnson, Angel Johnson, Heaven (Eric) Yanez; great grandchildren, Jaxon Willis, Andruw Almon, DeβAvion Johnson, and Zay Johnson; sisters, Lonnie (James) Langston, Sr. of LaFayette, Georgia, Anna Ward of Dalton, Georgia, Alice (LaVann) Coven of Ringgold, Georgia, and Linda Gail Almon Ware of LaFayette, Georgia; brother, Marvin (Angela) Almon, Jr. of Bremerton, Washington; aunt, Nora Wheeler of Cleveland, Ohio; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended relatives, friends, and her church family.
Homegoing Celebration will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at 2:00 P. M. at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 289 Dunwoody Road, LaFayette, Georgia 30728 with Pastor Rheubin M. Taylor as Eulogist and Rev. William Clark as Presider. Mother Hambrick will lie in state on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 12 noon at the funeral home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon from 5:00 β 6:30 P. M. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service on Sunday. Interment, LaFayette Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia.
