MR. STEVE FOREST SMITH – AGE 54, - Of Rome, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2016. He was born on August 7, 1962 in Summerville, Georgia to the late Benjamin Frankie Smith and Sarah Daisy L. Montgomery Smith. His sister, Anita Smith preceded him in death. He is survived by his sister, Lisa (William) Averett of Rome, Georgia; three brothers, Michael (Georgia) Smith, Joseph Smith, and Derrick Smith; aunts, Ethel (John) Thompson of Rome, Lorene Cothran of Summerville, Earnestine Brand of Rome, and Charlotte Silmon of Summerville; uncles, Charles Montgomery of Rome, Eugene (Emma) Montgomery of Cedartown, Georgia, Booker Smith of Rome, and Robert Smith of Summerville; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Funeral Service will be held Monday, January 18, 2016 at 12:00 noon at Greater Christ Temple Rapture Preparation Church, 1321 Martin L. King, Jr. Blvd., Rome, Georgia, with Bishop Reuben Graham, Eulogist, Bishop Nealon Guthrie, and other ministers officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service.
