Obituary For Timothy Burse
MR. TIMOTHY BURSE - Age 76, of LaFayette, Georgia passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2026, with his family at his bedside. He was born on February 11, 1950. He was married to his loving wife of twenty years Cassandra C. Beasley Burse. For many years he was a Brick and Stone Mason, a member of The Glorious Tones Gospel Group and a member of Prospect Baptist Church. His hobbies were boxing, basketball, and motorcycling. He was preceded by his parents, J. L. and Flossie Odessa Daniel Burse, Son, Brian Burse, Brother, Samuel Burse, Sister, Magaline Southern.
Survivors are is loving and devoted wife, Cassandra C. Burse; Son, Chad (Rebecca) Suttles; Daughters, Brishena Bell, Tresser Spates, LaShondra Mitchell, and Faith McKnight; Grandchildren , Kiara Suttles, Kaiyana Suttles, Chad Suttles, Jr., Malachi Bell, Malaysia Bell, Torrey Lay, Douglas Mitchell, III, Lauren Mitchell, A’meera McKnight and a host of other Grandchildren, and Great Grandchildren ; Sisters; Barbara (Jessie) Loving, Mary Ann Burse; Brother, Otis Burse; aunt, Bertha K. Burse; Mother- in- Law, Carol Beasley; Bonus Daughter, Dakiya Porter; special friends, Kevin (LaToya) Porter; Brother-in-Law Mark Beasley; other extended family, friends, and his church family.
Homegoing Service will be held on Sunday, August 9, 2026 at 3:00 P. M. at The Chapel of Willis Funeral Home, 2011 Martin L. King, Jr. Blvd., Dalton, GA 30721 with Pastor Lopez Ludy as Eulogist and other Ministers officiating. Family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the service. Burial will be held Monday, August 10, at 11:00 A. M. at LaFayette City Cemetery. His remains will lie in state on Saturday, August 8, 2026 from 12:00 noon until 6:00 P. M. Arrangements entrusted to Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia.
