MR. TONY F. JACKSON – Age 64, of LaFayette, Georgia passed away on Saturday December 14, 2024 at his daughter’s residence. Tony was born on October 2, 1960 to the late Dorothy Jackson. He was preceded by his grandparents, Oscar “Jim” and Violet Jackson, and Charles Covington, Sr. and Mable Covington, one sister, Margaret Simmons, and granddaughter, Kaitlyn Miller. He was a member of Prospect Baptist Church and a graduate of LaFayette High School Class of 1978.
Survivors are his loving and devoted daughter, Holly (Darry) Bamgbose; son, Kenneth Lamar Miller; grandchildren, Kobie Miller, Pemisire Andrew Bamgbose, Tolu Bamgbose, Kensley Miller, and Kenise Miller; father, Charles Covington, Jr.; sisters, Nedra Gail Hampton, Dana Covington; aunt, Lillie Mae Griffin; uncles, Billy Joe Jackson, Marvin (Betty) Jackson; nieces, nephews, cousins; dear friend, Donna Jean Miller; other relatives friends, and his church family.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, December 18, 2024 from 6:00 – 7:00 P. M. at Prospect Baptist Church, 194 Prospect Church Road, LaFayette, Georgia, 30728 with Words of Comfort from Pastor Archie Jackson. Arrangements entrusted to Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia.
Pops!! (Tony) it was a pleasure working with you and just simply knowing you. I know you are at peace and pain free. You fought long and hard. You will forever be missed. Love you always!! I wish I knew in December you passed so I could have came to see you off. Rest in peace my friend! Love you! You will always be Pops to me.
