She looketh well to the ways of her household and eateth not the bread of idleness. Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all. Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her own works praise her in the gates.
Adlene was born on October 31, 1927 she was the eldest of seven children born to the late Roosevelt and Edna Wise.
Adlene accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She was faithful in her walk with Christ until God called her home on August 29, 2019. She was a loving wife and mother, with a heart full of love and kindness.
Adlene was united in holy matrimony to the late Matthew Latiker Sr. in 1944, to this union ten children were born. She was preceded in death by her husband: Matthew Latiker, Sr.; her father: Roosevelt wise; her mother: Edna Wise; two sons: Perry Latiker, Sr.; Matthew Latiker, Jr. and one sister Irene Phillips.
She leaves to cherish her memories four daughters: Jessie (Charles) Williams, Martha (David) Luckett of Milwaukee, WI; Lela (Late Rhubin) Harris of Menomonee Falls, WI; Susie Gray of Durant, MS; four sons: Arthur Latiker, Roosevelt (Barbara) Latiker of Goodman, MS; Larry (Gwen) Latiker of Racine, WI; four brothers: Willie Wise of Sallis, MS; Amos (Gladys) Wise, Eugene (Francis) Wise of Milwaukee, WI; Leroy Wise of Kosciusko, MS; one sister: Loree Riley of Sallis, MS; daughter-in-law: Emma Latiker; Twenty-five grandchildren. fifty-five great grandchildren and fifteen great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
