Allen Cox was born in Ebenezer, Mississippi on December 28, 954 to the late Cleotha Cox and Mary Lois Cox. Allen was the oldest of his siblings. Allen loved to fish, to shoot pool, playing the guitar and harmonica. Allen had a great personality and he loved people. He was a great Roofer, and he operated his own Roofing Company “Motor Mouth Roofing” in Chicago, Illinois. Until his health begin to fail him. Allen was a musician and singer. He loved performing Tyrone Davis songs.
Allen attended Lexington Attendance Center High School. He moved to Chicago, Illinois in the early seventies. Allen traveled back to Mississippi often to visit family and friends.
Allen transitioned to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 in Chicago, Illinois after a long health battle. He will be missed and never will be forgotten.
Allen was preceded in death by his father Cleotha Cox.

(Joe Gibson Jr.) Cox; Stepmother: Martha Cox; Brothers: Lee Arthur (Gladys) Cox, Joe (Linda) Gibson III; Sisters: Mary Cox (Robert) Jordan, Elmira Gibson, Marcy Gibson, Beverly (Thomas) Lane, Nicole Cox; Uncles: Henry Cox, Jessie Cox; Aunts: Annie Mae Williams, Callie Ann Barnett, Erecine Cox and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends who will forever carry his fond memories in their hearts.
