Mrs. Bernice Gregory “Putt” Kimbrough was born July 15, 1940, in Kosciusko, MS to the late Lena & T.J. Gregory. She attended school in the Mount Moriah community. Mrs. Bernice accepted Christ at an early age and attended Mt. Moriah M.B. Church. She later relocated to North Jackson Street First Baptist Church where she served faithfully as an usher and dietary committee aide until her health declined.
She was united in holy matrimony to James E. Kimbrough who proceeded her in death. To this union Eight children were born. She was known for her great cooking, sewing, gardening, and hospitality.
Mrs. Bernice transitioned into eternity on November 8, 2025. She was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband, two daughters, two sons, two grandchildren, four sisters and five brothers. She leaves to cherish her precious memory: two daughters, Edna Kimbrough and Betty Gregory (Kosciusko, MS); One Stepdaughter, Betty Kimbrough (Muskegon, MI); two sons, James (Margaret) Gregory; Tracy Kimbrough (Kosciusko, MS); two God-daughters; One sister-n-law, Betty (Luther) Brown (Milwaukee, WI); two God-Sons; ten Grandchildren; eleven Great-Grandchildren; five Great-Great Grandchildren; 1 Great Great Great-Grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
