Cal “Poppa” Fleming was born on December 8, 1975, to the union of John Cal Fleming, Sr. and Bernice Barksdale Fleming in Sallis, MS.
Cal attended school at Long Creek Elementary and McAdams High School. Shortly thereafter he became a truck driver doing what he loved most. He accepted Christ at an early age and joined Barlow United Methodist Church where he was a dedicated member.
On Sunday, September 22, 2024, at 1:30 p.m., God sent his angels to call him home to join his heavenly choir. He was preceded in death by his parents John Cal Sr. and Bernice Fleming and his brother Wade Fleming.
Cal leaves to cherish his loving memories: His wife Wendy Anderson-Fleming of Benton, MS; his loving children: Deonte (Tyshika) Fleming of Kosciusko, MS; Madison and Mason Fleming of Sallis, MS. Three bonded children of love Jamarion Stewart, Rachael Hobson, Antione Bradfield, Jr. of Benton, MS. Eight brothers and 4 sisters: Joe (Annette) Barksdale, Willie (Angela) Fleming, Wanda (Willie) Erving, William (Felicia) Fleming, Edward (Lakettia) Fleming all of Sallis, MS; Francis (Bertha) Fleming of McAdams, MS; Leroy (Diane) Fleming of Jackson, MS; Lula (DuJuan) Miller, Sharon (Cody) Malone, John (Amanda) Fleming, and Carol Fleming all of Kosciusko, MS; Charles Fleming of Olive Branch, MS. A loving mother-in-law Elizabeth Anderson. A host of nieces and nephews.
