Obituary For Danny Nelson Harvey

Danny Nelson Harvey was born on August 17, 1963, to John Will and Annie Bell Harvey. He was one of nine children born to this union.

Danny attended Long Creek and McAdams High School. He confessed his faith in Christ at an early age and joined Pleasant Grove M.B. Church under the leadership of Rev. J.C. Suddith.

Danny was employed at Attala Feed Mill in Kosciusko, Mississippi. In his younger years, he worked as a pine tree setter for Allen Riley. In his later years, he worked for Ability Works until his health failed.

Danny was united in holy matrimony to Denise Harmon on May 23, 2013. She was the love of his life for 33 years. Together, they raised one son, Daniel Harvey, and three daughters, Shuvette (Clifton) Wollie, Tereka Kern and Veronica Kern. He also loved Stephanie Kern as his own daughter.

Danny transitioned from this earthly life at is home, surrounded by his loved ones, on September 3, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Will and Annie Bell Harvey, and two siblings, Brenda Teague and Sherrie Harvey.

He also leaves three sisters, Eloise Roby, Stephanie Snow and Beverly Harvey; three brothers, David Harvey, John Ashley Harvey of Sallis, MS and Dennis (Traci) Harvey of Lake Mills, Iowa; fourteen grandchildren, including Ali and Alyah Harvey, whom he raised; one great-grandson, De'Kareia Brown; and a host of other relatives and friends.

INTERMENT: Roby Cemetery, Goodman, MS
