Obituary For David A. Cole

David Anthony Cole, the son of Minnie Cole and the late Calloway Cole, was born on May 16, 1958, in Kosciusko, Mississippi. He was the firstborn of seven children and was preceded in death by his father and his youngest sister, Loretha Cole.

At an early age, David united with New Garden Missionary Baptist Church. He received his education at Tipton Street School and in the Kosciusko School District. David began his working career at Choctaw Maid, later relocating to Chicago, Illinois, where he was employed by Buckman Paper Company. After returning to Kosciusko, he worked in construction until his health declined.

David Anthony Cole departed this life on February 5, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Kosciusko, Mississippi.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Minnie Cole; sisters, Brenda Cole, Annie (Jerry) Stewart of Kosciusko, MS, and Sherry (Antoine) Harvey of Dalton, Illinois; brothers, Calloway (Lue) Cole of Kosciusko, MS, and Alton (Ada) Cole of Chicago, Illinois; along with nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.
