Dorothy Jean Pierce Fletcher moved out of this old house of clay on Wednesday, April 24, 2020. She was born on October 29, 1953 to the late Tobe Pierce and Annie Brown Pierce in Attala County.
Dorothy gave her life to Christ at an early age. She joined True Vine M.B. Church.
Dorothy received her education in Attala County Mississippi. she served as a dietician at the MS State Veteran Home in Kosciusko, MS for 22 years. She retired in August 2019.
She was united in holy matrimony in 1972 to Hubert Fletcher and they were blessed with one daughter, Katina.
Her parents Tobe and Annie Pierce, (1-sister) Bessie Roby and two brothers: Clarence (C.B.) Pierce and Tracey Pierce all preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memory: (1-daughter) Katina (Bryan), Richmond, VA; (1-stepdaughter) Kristina Fletcher, Kosciusko, MS; (2-sisters) Hazel Haynes, Louisville, MS & Polly Winters, Milwaukee, WI; (3-brothers) Edward Pierce, Durant, MS; Willie Pierce, Kosciusko, MS; Toby Lee Pierce, Milwaukee, WI; (7-grandchildren) Symba (Antoine), Hubert, April, Diamond, Bryan, Kington & Bryanna, four great grandchildren; a special friend: Tyrone Rimmer; her best friend: Patricia Wilson and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
