Mrs. Ella Mae Carr Ashford was born to Leatha Mae and James Carr on June 29, 1958 in Leake County, MS.

Ella was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Kosciusko, MS. She enjoyed spending time with family & friends. Ella was extremely fond of her cats, and spent a lot of time taking great care of them. She also had a love for people.

She was united in Holy Matrimony with Donnie Ray Ashford and to this union four children were born.

Ella was preceded in death by parents, Leatha Mae and James Carr, and two brothers Will Jr. Carr, and Lacy D. Carr.

Ella leaves to cherish her memories: Three daughters, Danielle Ashford (Michael Bloodsaw), Cassandra Ashford, Stephanie Ashford, and one son: Jeremy Ashford (Erica Brown), nine grandchildren, one great grandchild, Three sisters: Katie Martin (Murphy) of Kosciusko, MS, Betty Hannah and Diane Carr of Milwaukee, WI, three brothers: James Edward (Shirley) and Willie Lee (Claudia) all of Milwaukee, WI and Michel Carr of Seattle Washington. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews. other relatives and friends.
