Essie B. Parham, 72, of Sallis, MS gained her heavenly wings on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jackson, MS. She was surrounded by the love of her close family and friends.
She was born April 13, 1953, in Sallis, MS, and she was the 9th child of the late Henry and Rosie Howard's 11 children.
Essie Parham married the late Ray Parham April 5, of 1975. With this union, they brought forth two sons: Taledis and Henry Parham.
She began her work at Atapco, and then she later attended Holmes Community College and graduated in 1997 as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She retired from her passion of nursing at Monfort Jones Memorial Hospital in 2013 after 15 years of service.
She started her Christian Life as a member of St. Mark M.B. Church, and she was a devoted member until her passing.
Essie was a kind-hearted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
In her life, her hobbies were looking after those she loved and talking to her sisters.
Essie leaves behind her 2 sons: Taledis and Henry Parham, 3 grandchildren: Yernita, TaShay, and TayShawn Parham, 3 sisters: Ruthelma Bruce, LueVelma Frazier, and Earlie Howard, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 sisters, and 4 brothers.
