Sister Evelyn Miller was born to the late Susie B. Nash and Earnel Nash on September 13, 1947, in Attala County, MS. She attended Tipton Street School in Kosciusko, MS. In Louisiana, she served as a Restaurant Manager for the Sheraton Hotel for twenty years and a Security Guard for Walter L. Cohen High School for five years. At Abraham Chapel, she worked as an user and served on the Kitchen Committee.
Evelyn was unite in holy matrimony to the late Alfred Miller on September 24, 1965. To this union came two sons and one daughter.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Earnel and Susie Nash; one brother, Tommy Nash; grandmother, Evelena Zollicoffer; her in-laws, Mike and Mable Kimbrough and Mae Eunice Miller.
On December 8, 2009, Evelyn was called home. Her humor and willingness to extend a helping hand to anyone will truly be missed.
She leaves to cherish her memories: one sister, Mae Dotson; three brothers: Earnel (Mary Jo) Nash, Billy Nash and Howard (Ann) Nash all of Milwaukee, WI; three sisters-in-law: Helen Miller, Nina Miller and Mary Griffin all of Kosciusko, MS; three brothers-in-law: James Miller, Silene Miller and M.D. Miller; one father-in-law, M.D. Miller of Memphis, TN; two sons: Rev. Troy (LaTwanya) Miller of Columbus, MS and Guadamus Miller of Kosciusko, MS; one daughter, Stacy Miller of Kosciusko, MS; six grandchildren: Aja, Jada, Meisha, Reganie, MaKayla, Yazmine and Jeremiah; three great-grandchildren: Jadarius, Tristian and Madison; three aunts: Helen Zollicoffer, Mary Anderson and Pearl Zollicoffer; one special uncle, Hardy Zollicoffer; one adpted daughter, Porchia Winters and four special friends: Lovie Merritt, Ida B. Dotson, Eula Jones and Wardell Kimbrough. She leaves to mourn a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
