Mr. Freddie Lee Kern was born on May 12, 1964 in Kosciusko, MS to the late Mr. Melvin Kern Sr. and Mrs. Annie Pearl Lee Kern. He attended Attala County Schools on Tipton Street. He attended New Salem Church in Zama, MS at an early age. Freddie Lee Kern battled with serious medical issues in recent years which showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile.
He is preceded in death by his three sisters: Annie A. Atterberry, Mary R. Greer, and Bessie J. Williams; three brothers: Willie V. Kern, Eddie L. Kern, and Archie Kern. Freddie L. Kern leaves behind a loving wife, Betty Ann Kern which they gave birth to one son Derrell T. Fondren. Also, he leaves three daughters: Monica Erving, Shaquita Kern, and Keosha Kern; two stepdaughters: Samantha and Shanell Fondren; three sisters Nina Kern, Thelma (Frank) Kern, and Velma (Sylvester) Anderson; three brothers: Melvin Kern Jr., Aaron (Donna) Kern, and Eric (Debra) Kern. He leaves five grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. To know Freddie L. Kern is to love him. He was a straight up person that loved his family and loved to have fun and enjoy life.
