Haywood Dotson was born July 29, 1949 to the late Edna and Clarence (Shot) Dotson. He was the second oldest of six of which three brothers proceeds him in death: Johnny, Donald and Elmer Dotson.
Haywood was a member of Church of Christ in Kosciusko, MS. He received his education in the Kosciusko Mississippi school system. He later went on to explore the "Windy City" of Chicago Illinois where he was employed as a factory worker for many years. He went on married Thelma Ingram in 1972 and they bored two children. Haywood was a socialite and made friends everywhere he went. He enjoyed the family vibe and being around his aunts, uncles and cousins, who always looked out for his knuckled headed self (LOL). His kids and grandkids were the pride and joy of his life, whom he simply adored by actions and with love! Haywood was a Real family man and was always the life of the party. He could put a smile on anyone's face by cracking jokes and sharing his life experiences and the wisdom he gained from it.
He leaves to cherish his memories: One son: Haywood and one daughter Angelita (Jevan), three step children: Pat, Lisa and Kenyia. One sister: Velma Dotson and two brothers: Clarence and Chris. Eight grandchildren: Christopher, Ashley (Deon), Tyronda-Nookie:, Zataria, Jeremiah, Jermia, Jelita and Jaylen. Seven great grandkids: Brandon, Deon, Caria, Avion, Ava, Ashton and Dahlia. Three aunts: Sara, Inez and Ethel. One uncle: James. A host of cousins and friends who will truly miss him.
