Ida Mae McBride-Fair made her transition to be with her Heavenly Father at 2:58 p.m. on October 25, 2022. She was born to Annie Mae Doshie and Grady McBride on July 30, 1941, in McCool, Mississippi.
Ida Loved the Lord and demonstrated that love through her commitment to serve her church family and those around her. She joined Fancher Hill Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. She served in the Choir, Usher Board, Sunday secretary and Church Clerk. No task done in the name of the Lord was too small for her.
Ida has 4 children: Gloria Mae (Arthur) Born to Ida and Wardell Carter. On August 12, 1960, Ida married Andrew Fair (Junior), who preceded her in death. They had three children together: Andrew "George" (Versadean); James Louis (Grace); Mary Joyce (Reginald Sr.). She has six (6) grandchildren: Terrance, Antwain, Tavares, Jasmine, Shironda and Reginald Jr.
Nine (9) great grandchildren: Makayla, Ashton, Sharod, Shariyah, Xaviar, Asyia, Masiah, Noah and Terrance Jr.
Ida was one of ten (10) children, and her five (5) brothers preceded her in death: Burl Lee, Jack, Grady Jr., Leon and Tommy Lee. She has four (4) sisters: Earline, Evanda, Helen and Annie Ruth. Ida loved her sisters and talked to them multiple times a day. Her voice and presence will be missed.
Ida was committed to her family. She was very active in the lives of her "Babies." She took the time to learn Facebook, FaceTime and other social media outlooks to stay connected with her family.
