Obituary For Jacqueline Unger-Gladney

I was born on March 5, 1969 at 1:30 a.m. I was the second child born to Estella Louise and the late Rufus Unger. As a child, I was a loving daughter and often stepped into the role of "MaMa" when I had to fuss about things with my sisters and brothers. I have always been family oriented and if there is anything I have learned in life.....Nothing is more precious than the love of family!!!!

Throughout my teenage years and early adulthood, I still projected love and leadership, among my siblings, co-workers, family and friends. There was never an area where I wouldn't help when needed. I showed my compassion and love for others through more than just words. I was raised on the principle of being kind hearted, helping others when able and practicing the Golden Rule....Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

I attended Long Creek Elementary school as a child and later graduated from McAdams, I was recognized for an essay entitled "Disabled People In Action". this award was presented during my Junior year and was one of my many accomplishments while attending school. During this time, I also was an active member of New Center Ridge M.B. Church where I served as an usher and secretary for many years.

When I became old enough, I began working to remain independent as my mom had raised me to be. My first job was working at highland Machinery. I later ventured out into the industrial field, where I held many positions including supervisory roles. I worked at Wal-Mart as well during this time and met many, many wonderful people there.

During this time, I served in my community whenever possible. I served as a Little League Coach in Kosciusko. I volunteered in the concession stand at McAdams whenever needed. I was the president of The Sallis Homecoming Committee in 2010. I worked the voting polls whenever possible and worked to sign up other youth when able. It was important to me that the younger generation understood the importance of voting. there was no job to big or small for me to assist when needed.
