Joe Fred Edwards, Jr. was born March 26, 1938, To the Union of Allen and Rosie Bell Edwards in Attala County, Mississippi.
He attended school in Attala County School District. As a young man, Joe Jr. met and married his wife, Loyla Edwards (deceased). To this union, a son, Joe Lemar Edwards was born. As his life progressed forward, another sign, John Houston Mallet (deceased) was born to Joe Jr. and Annie Jewel Mallet.
Joe Jr. enjoyed having fun and living life to the fullest. He loved fishing with family and friends. He was thankful that God blessed him to celebrate his 87th birthday in March. Joe Jr. was employed by J.C. Cheek Contractors of Kosciusko, MS, for many years. In most recent years, he provided lawncare services to many residents of Attala County. He took pride in his meticulous work for his customers.
On May 15, 2025, Joe Fred Edwards, Jr. entered eternal life.
His wife, Loyla Edwards; parents, Allen and Rosie Bell Edwards; Son, John Houston Mallett; Brother, Earnest Edwards; Sister and Brother-in-law, Alice Faye and A.L. Wright; grandson, Maurice Williams and great-grandson, Kreshun K. White proceeded him in death.
Joe Jr. leaves everlasting memories with his long-time companion, Bobbie Jean Roby; son, Joe Lemar Edwards (Areatha) of Stone Mountain, GA; grand-daughters: Vakeshia Mallett White (Kelsey) of Kosciusko, MS, Dominique Browne (Larry) of Milwaukee, WI, Shanina Edwards of Lithonia, GA; niece and caregiver, Peggy Williams (James) of Sallis, MS; 20 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
