Obituary For Larry A. Brown

Mr. Larry Andres (Buddy) Brown was the second child born on November 8, 1955, in Sallis, Mississippi, to Julius Wayne (JW) Brown and Mary Alice Brown-Shadwick. He was preceded in death by his loving mother and father; his loving stepfather, Fred Shadwick; one son, Chris Brown; two brothers, Lawrence Brown and Lamar Rimmer; and one sister, Margaret Brown-Gregory.

At an early age, Larry Andres (Buddy) Brown accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church. He attended Long Creek Attendance Center and McAdams High School. Buddy was a dedicated and faithful employee, beginning as a construction worker with Deviney Construction in Kosciusko, Mississippi. He later decided to relocate to Midland, Pennsylvania and began a career at Crucible Steel. After returning home, he was a faithful employee at Jack Post and later at Walmart as a Maintenance Supervisor for seventeen years, both in Kosciusko, MS.

Buddy was very family-oriented, a loving, and dedicated father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and just a “Phenomenal Man.” He loved to fish, hunt, cook, and spend quality time with his family and friends. Larry was joined in Holy Matrimony to Katrina H. Brown on April 19, 2003. They shared a passion for dancing and just enjoying each other. Larry Andres (Buddy) Brown transitioned from this life on August 24, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Larry leaves to cherish his memories, a loving wife, Katrina H. Brown, Milwaukee, WI; ten beautiful and handsome children, Clifton Sandifer, Kosciusko, MS; Larry Brown, Sallis, MS; Jay (Neshaunda Brown), Sallis, MS; Adrianna (Kedrick) Madison, Kosciusko, MS; Octavia Brown, Sallis, MS; Ashley (DeAndrae) Reed, Carthage, MS; Ashton Brown, Sallis, MS; Dwain Brown, Sallis, MS; Makayla D. Evans, Durant, MS; and Beyonce Williams, Goodman, MS; thirty-one beautiful grandchildren; seven sisters, Dorothy Brown-Stewart, Sallis, MS; Elouise “Pat” (Billy) Stewart, Kosciusko, MS; Ever (Autry) Jones, Houston, TX; Sheila McBride, Sallis, MS; Yolanda Brown, Sallis, MS; Nancy Carter, Houston, TX; and Wimpy (Tracy) Chambers, Sallis, MS; one step-sister, Joyce Long, Los Angeles, CA; one aunt, Daisy Guyton, Hillside, IL; special cousins, JoNathan (Teresa) Williams and Audrey Lee of Kosciusko, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
