Obituary For Losey Carter
Losey Carter was born on July 26 in Choctaw County to the late Jim and Ada Carter, whose love and guidance helped shape the life he would so faithfully live.
At an early age, Mr. Carter accepted Christ as his Savior and walked steadfastly in that faith throughout his life. He found abiding joy in the fellowship of worship and remained a devoted member of Shady Grove M.B. Church and the Masonic Lodge in Weir, MS, for as long as his health allowed. He also possessed a special gift for cooking, and those who knew him best will remember with fondness his love for preparing barbecue.
Mr. Carter was united in marriage to Betty Lou Carter, who preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish and honor his precious memory: son, William (Velma) Edwards; daughter, Mary (McArthur) Sallis, his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
