The Life of Martin Williams
Martin was born April 4, 1958. He was the oldest child born to Betty Ruth and the late Melvin Williams. He was a loving father, son, brother and grandfather. Martin attended Attala County School District and later attended Kosciusko, High School. During this time, joined Sallis Grove #2 and attended Christian Liberty Baptist Church.
When he became old enough, he started work with his dad in hauling wood at Fleetwood Home in Lexington, MS. Martin later moved to Chicago where he started his family with his beloved wife Angela. Martin enjoyed spending time with his family, watching movies and football games, cooking and grilling. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. He was a very caring and loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed life to the fullest.
Martin "Twista" Williams peacefully transitions from life on January 11, 2021. He is preceded in death by his father Melvin Williams; Maternal grandmothers: Betty Mae Hughes and Callie Williams; Maternal grandfathers: Eloise Jamison and Clarence Williams.
He leaves to cherish his memories and laughter: his wife Angela (Cox) Williams; a loving mother: Betty Ruth; six daughters: Krystal Johnson of Carthage, MS, Antina (Monique), Rayshonna, Laynisha, Rosalyn (Hannah) and Savannah of Chicago, IL. Four sons: Martin (Dante) and Tyree Davis of Ackerman, MS. Martin Jr. and Andrew of Chicago, IL; four sisters: Janet Williams of Milwaukee, WI, Doralyn and Denise Williams of Kosciusko, MS, and Jacqueline Williams Hawkins of Durant, MS: two brothers: Willie C. Williams of Kosciusko, MS: Mark Williams of Austin, TX. Host of Grandchildren, Nieces, Aunt, Uncles, Cousins and Friends.
