Obituary For Mary A. Brister
Mary A. Brister was born in Sallis, MS on January 1, 1938, to the late Willie Joseph and Lorean Wilder Simmons. Mary A. Bister attended school in the Attala County School District. She departed this life on July 13, 2023, at the Attala County Nursing Home, Kosciusko, MS.
She was preceded in death by her late husband, Buck Brister, four sisters, Dora Burt, Ella Simmons, Mazelle, Katherine Simmons, eight brothers: Lee Edward, Ernest, Arthur B., Willie Lee, Willie C., James Franklin, John Ed Simmons, Claude Simmons; two stepsons Lester and Floyd. By trade, she was a housewife and homemaker. She worked for several years in the housekeeping department at Monfort Jones Hospital.
She leaves to celebrate her homegoing her two sons: Mike Brown, Curtis (Sandra) Brown all of Kosciusko, MS; her daughter: Mary Ann Beasley Gulfport, MS; her Stepchildren: Daisy, Martha, Carl Henry Brown all of Jackson, MS; Ray, Las Vegas, NV; and 19 grandchildren. She also leaves four sisters: Emma Harmon, Susie (Alvin Joe) Lewis, Mattie (Alonzo) Lewis, Sallis, MS; Ella Jean (George) Evans, Saginaw, MI' and one brother, W.C. (Mary Ann) Simmons, Sallis, MS.

DATE OF SERVICE: Thursday 7/20/2023 at 1:00 p.m.
INTERMENT: Bethlehem Cemetery, Sallis, MS
