Mary Christine Miller Williams, affectionally known as Christine or Chris, was born November 24, 1941, in Attala County, Mississippi to the late Sylvester Miller and Zonie Bell Love, as the youngest among four other siblings including three brothers and one sister. Christine grew up in a spiritual home led by her mother and developed her sense of faithfulness, loyalty, and generosity that persevered throughout her life. She departed this life April 02, 2026.
Christine was educated in the Attala County School system until the 10th grade when life circumstances required her to administer to maternal duties due to the impending arrival of her oldest child. Christine accepted Christ into her life and was a faithful member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church until health issues made her attendance difficult to muster. Christine spent the better part of her life as a homemaker, which she enjoyed immensely, being the matriarch of the family specializing in her unique skillset of entertaining, cooking and warmth. Her work career included jobs working in a restaurant and as a salesclerk in a department store.
Christine leaves behind a lasting legacy that is the embodiment of her essence. Tangibly, she was preceded in death by her late husband, Charles; her middle son, Robert; three brothers: J.C. Miller, Eddie Dock "Jr" Miller and Robert Thomas “R.T” Miller. She is survived by her oldest son Deacon Charles “Buddy” Williams (Kosciusko, MS), her youngest son, Johnie Williams (Corona, CA), her sister, Lena Mae Bell (Cleveland, OH), three grandsons, Robert Huffman (Kosciusko, MS), Seth Fullilove (Round Rock, TX), and Jeremy Williams (Tampa, FL). Additionally, Christine leaves behind a niece Darlene “Cookie” Kitchens who has basically served as a surrogate daughter to her for decades. She also leaves behind seven great-grandkids and a host of other cousins and in-laws among other relatives.
Christine legacy will forevermore live on in the hearts and minds of all who knew and loved her. Her life was a blessing and the light of her in our minds will never be extinguished.
