Obituary For MC Rayford

MC Rayford was born to the late R.C. and Minnie Pearl Allen Rayford on February 8, 1951 in Attala County MS; He was the eldest of seven children.

His baby sister Darell Rayford and his stepmother Juanita Rayford proceeded him in death. He married the love of his life on May 10, 1975 to this union 3 beautiful daughters were born.

He attended school Jacob Chapel and Long Creek Elementary, he also attended McAdams High School. He confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined Marble Rock M.B. Church. Later he united with St. John Baptist Church where he was a faithful deacon until his health failed.

He was employed by Associated Construction Company and Mississippi Brokerage Company where he retired after 25 years. He later worked for Ray Rayford Construction Company and Tamon Newsom Construction Company.

Deacon Rayford leaves to cherish his memories, His loving wife of forty-five years Vernita Rayford; Three daughters Cassandra Newsom (Tamon) Toishondra Rayford of Sallis, MS, Toshino Barber (Samuel) of Canton, MS; two adopted daughters Monica Harmon (Detrich), Cassandra Harlos of Kosciusko, MS.

Special nieces and nephew: Sherry Dorsey (Barry), Savannah Georgia; Felicia Alexander (Alex), Kileen, TX; Mary Smith (Alex), Hardy Williams (Linda) of Yazoo City.

Grandson: Quamon Newsom, Starkville, MS and Jaden Harmon and grand-daughter: Abigail Sunshine of Kosciusko, MS.

Three sisters: Geneva Lewis, Willie Ruth Brooks (Johnny) of Sallis, MS, Fannie Terry of Detroit, MI; Two brothers: Ray Charles Rayford (Dorrine), Sallis, MS, Reall Rayford (Bridgett), Terry, MS, Stepbrother: Lesli Huffman (Linda), Milwaukee, WI.

Special Uncle-Jessie Huffman, Jackson, MS; Special Aunts- Darryl Weatherby, Sallis, MS and Virginia Huffman, Chicago, IL.

A loving Brother-in-law: Johnny Brown, Detroit, MI

A close friend Edward Fleming and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

PLACE OF GRAVESIDE: Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Kosciusko, MS
