Moses B. Wise was born April 03, 1950, in Sallis Mississippi, to the late (Mother) Randi Flowers-Wise and (Father) Andy Smith. Moses attended McAdams High School in Sallis, Mississippi. He later moved to Milwaukee, WI, where he spent over 20 years living. Moses later moved back to Mississippi where he lived until moving back to Waterloo, IA.
Moses had love for his horse named Rose. He married Shirley Robinson in 2013, and they later moved back to Mississippi where he lived until moving back to Waterloo, IA with his loving daughter Caroline Wise in 2025. Moses was the life of the party and didn't bite his tongue not one bit. He was the man who walked the water, tied the knot and when he is gone there will be no other. Those was his words anytime he had to show who was in charge.
Moses played the guitar and also was a member of a music group with his brother Fred Smith and a few more good friends.
Moses spent a lot of time with his good friend Mrs. Sarah Lewis who cared for him and spent lots of time with him during his last months of living. He loved playing spades with his loving Uncle Buddy Wise and listening to the blues and singing along to Johnny Taylor about his last $2.00 that he not gone lose.
On April 15, 2026, Moses was called to his eternal home. He leaves to cherish his loving memory: One brother Fred Smith of Georgia; one sister, Georgia Mae Scott of Wisconsin; One daughter, Caroline Wise of Iowa; 11 Grandchildren: April Fisher, Sasharae Williams both of Wisconsin, Victor Williams, Demario Rucker, Lakeithia Rowser, Christina Wise, Cameron Wise, DeAngelo Wise all of Waterloo, Jayden Shakelford, Desaray Wise both of Missouri, and Taegen Kratz of Nebraska; 26 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
