Mr. Nathaniel โNateโ McCain was born November 26, 1959, to the late Lathan and Emma Lee Graham McCain. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member and trustee of Mount Lebanon United Methodist Church until his death.
On June 1, 2026, God saw fit to call Nate to rest at his home. Proceeding him in death are his beloved parents, the mother of his children, Emma Jewel; 3 sisters, Mary Cross, Maxine McCain and Verna Edingbourgh; 1 brother, Marvin McCain.
Nate received his education in the Attala County School District. He learned at an early age the importance of hard work and dedication. He was employed with the Attala County School District as a bus driver until his health begin to fail. He also worked many side jobs with one of his favorites being detailing and waxing vehicles.
Nate leaves to cherish his memories 4 children, Wendy (Kevin) Boyd of Carthage, MS, Carolyn Lewiss and Frankie Blackmon of McCool, MS, DeAngelo (Precious) Boyd of Fairburn, GA; 6 grandchildren, D'Andra Boyd, Kevarrion, Kameren and Em'Ari Greenwood, Jeffery Blackmon, Jr. and Alaina Lewis; 4 sisters, June McCain of Carthage, MS, Annie J. McCain of Ethel, MS, Shandrae McCain of Milwaukee, WI and Tammy (Androcles) Davis of McCool, MS; 5 brothers, James โByrdโ Winters of Moss Point, MS, Odell McCain, Liddeal McCain, Leo David (Annie Stewart) McCain all of Ethel, MS; 1 aunt, Sheila Graham of Louisville, MS and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
PLACE OF SERVICE: Buffalo U.M. Church, Kosciusko, MS
DATE OF SERVICE: Saturday 6/13/2026 at 11:00 a.m.
INTERMENT: Little Calvary Cemetery, Louisville, MS
VIEWING: Friday 6/12/2026 at 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. at Dotson Funeral Home, Kosciusko, MS.
