Mrs. Nina M. Miller was the third born of three sisters and four brothers. She was born June 23, 1951, to Hilda Rimmer and Ozie Burt of Kosciusko, Mississippi. Both preceded her in death. Nina was raised in a spiritual family and gave her life to Christ at an early age, uniting with Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church. She lived her life with grace, and love. She was known to always find something to smile about. Nina departed this life December 9, 2023, in Jackson, MS.
Her early education was received in the elementary and secondary schools of Kosciusko. She furthered her education with certifications at the College of Lake County in Grayslake, Illinois, and other vocational training program in healthcare.
In early 1970's Nina relocated to North Chicago, IL where she worked for more than 20 years at Abbott Laboratories. She met the love of her life, Grover Miller, and they remained in the community raising their family of three sons, Lamar Gosha, Tomyn Miller and Brad Miller.
Nina believed strongly in the word of God. She was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, and she was a supporter of many ministries engaged in doing the work of the Lord. Her family and friends knew her as a spiritual mentor and a respected senior in the ministry. She was a friend to all whom she met.
She leaves to celebrate her life and cherish her memory, her sons, Lamar (Camesha) Gosha, Tomyn (Xavia) Miller, Brad Miller; brother, Otis Rimmer, sister Alice (Ben) Kimbrough, grandchildren Lamar, Ethan, Laila, Tamia, Gianna, Shania, Xavier, Darrin, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
Nina was preceded in death by her husband, Grover; sister, Pearline Rimmer; brothers; Johnny Le Riley, James Riley and Jesse Lee Mallett.
